Accountable for managing the day to day activities of the technician staff, providing staff development and evaluating the level of technician performance. The technician supervisor, under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in various activities of the pharmacy department. The technician supervisors functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. Job Requirements 1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College course work in business or management and supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of related EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE is desirable. 2. Licenses: Pharmacy Technician National Certification required, registered with Virginia Board of Pharmacy 3. Experience: Minimum 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician plus one year of supervisory experience. 4. Work Schedule: Weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
