CFMP - 11/09/2014 ( RE POST ) Christine Hughes 41 mins · London · In answer to this question on a Family History Page about FMP;-- I recently took out a subscription to Find My Past after being with Ancestry for a number of years. I thought I was a seasoned researcher but FMP searching has me stumped! I more often than not get 0 results even for things I have previously found on Ancestry. What am I doing wrong? I dont find the help topics on FMP any use either. I wrote;- I dont think you are doing anything wrong * Since Find My Past was supposedly updated in March this year the site is very difficult to use even seasoned researchers have put forward numerous complaints.The new search engine is very confusing. . I have a subscription but am not using it as I find the whole site one big mess up. As a company Find My Past treated their subscribers very badly. A lot were banned from forums and posting on the facebook page purely because FMP didnt like their genuine complaints about what was happening on the site. Some are still banned and not only UK but worldwide. I am using Ancestry and dont think I will be renewing my subscription.
