CFP (a journal): CONVOCATORIA: MUTATIS MUTANDIS VOL. 8 # 2 2015 Does Translation currently represent a prime area for further discussion on identity construction and metamorphosis? This seemingly rhetorical question takes a keen interest, particularly when an interdisciplinary work is increasingly necessary to answer the questions that contemporary societies raise regarding its constant changes, as a result of events related to globalization. Translation Studies, influenced by other disciplines such as Gender Studies, Anthropology, Linguistics, Cultural Studies, Psychology, Comparative Literature, etc., examines the role of translation as a linguistic and textual practice, but also as a transcultural paradigm reflecting the identities’ struggle in (trans)forming and achieving social and cultural recognition. We welcome all articles dealing with the relationship between ideology, language and translation, from the angle of gender, power relationships; bearing on European, American and non-Western traditions, translation and global vs local identities, translation, literature and gender.
