This is done without the consent of the major corporations whose name is on the product. Most companies put the serial #s on in house. This means that while you have purchased a beautiful new set of 2013 wheels, there will be NO WARRANTY!!! As an example, there is also no warranty from MAVIC USA on its products purchased outside the United States. So, even if the wheels are legit, you forfeit any warranty by purchasing them from CHAIN REACTION. Unless you can talk the bike shop you didnt use to purchase them into helping you out.
