CHAIRMAN, KIBAKU YOUTH ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA, LAGOS CHAPTER, ANNUAL SPEECH 2013 REPORT. My fellow kibaku Youth, on behalf of my dear family and hardworking officials of our great association. I am bringing you greetings with prosperous new year to all members of KIBAKU YOUTH ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (Save Kibaku Group). With much gratitude to God Almighty or sustaining us throughout the year 2013. We also extend our hearts of thanksgiving to all of ou (MEMBERS) for your maximum support through prayers, financially and even material assistance been giving to us throughout our activities last year. My fellow youth, Your love for Kibaku nation will not be in vain, all that you do really encouraged and even strenghten us, when we worked to see that we discharge our responsibilities effectively. May the Lord God bless you all. Dear fellow youth, I have the honour and priviledge on behalf of our prime officials and benevolent elders with the entire members of this association, I am presenting you this brief report on last year 2013 our association giant stride. Since the inception of our administration on 16th June 2013, we have worked tirelessness to transformed our great association. Let me summarise some of our achievement so far; within the six month in office our statistics shows that our members average attendance have increase from 15% to 50%, while our account balance which was N13, 100 when we took the mantle of leadership have increase to the sum of N592, 708 cash as of 31st December, 2013, we therefore open a current account with UBA Bank plc to ensure strict financial observation and accountability which our within our association. We have review our members database register to enhance the functions of our official performance, we also renew our members Identity card and arrange new meeting schedules that is re-schedule our meeting days to every second or third sunday of every month to accomodate our various cell meetings which comes up every month end, as we notify them during our end of year party. We successfully host the first Kibaku Youth Day In Lagos State with guest speaker outside Lagos, within the period of six month in office. Hitherto, we secure a new general meeting venue at Kuramo Primary School, Victoria Island Lagos, while our official meeting remains at National Stadium, Surulere Lagos, please take note. CHALLENGES Despite the progress been made, the association also faced with some problems that stands on her way as challenges such as;- - On sad note, since this world is not our permanent destination, our secretary Mr Elijah Zakwa lost his beloved father at home. - our brother, Mr Aji .F. Chiwar also lost his belongings when fire gutted his room at Apapa. - our Brother Mr Joshua B. Maivas wife seriously ill, she still need our prayer and financial support. - Poor turnout of members to meeting and lack of payments of monthly dues. - Late comers to meeting. - Some of pledges made during our End of year party were yet to redeem. 2014 IN FOCUS/TARGET - Lets imbibe the habit of coming to meeting - Payments of monthly dues - Review of the constitution for Lagos chapter bye-lwas - Entrepreneurial skill acquisition for members - Corporate social responsibilities for (KIBAKU AT HOME) - Registration with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social development. In conclusion, permit me to congratulate our official at glance; our Legal adviser Barrister MINDIA .Y. CHIWAR, National President MR MOSES ZAKWA vice chairman mr. Karaka mutah, secretary mr. Elijah zakwa, financial secretary mr. Tamaya P. Maina, treasurer mr Habu A. Mohd, assitant treasurer mr jude madu, publicity secretary Isaiah Bulus, PRO mr joshua B. Maiva, mr Dauda lawan, mr Dauda maiva, Provost, mr Yakubu yahaya, our able elders and entire members of Kibaku Youth Association of Nigeria, Lagos chapter, Thank You all and may the Lord God Almighty grant us his favour, Peace and blessings this 2014. Finally, I quote Mark Twain when we ask for an opinion we are merely seeking for approval. Nothing is more conducive to peace of mind than having no opinion at all.
