CHANGING FORTUNE I learned early in life to focus on my ability and building upon it for my ultimate survival. Unemployment is a big issue globally, majority of the employed are not satisfied with their present work. The desire to change things started building in my heart, as an undergradute student of public administration at the university. Despite my limitation, my spirit wont allow me rest as ideas towards changing my environment didnt cease to drop on my mind. I called on my undergraduate friends from different disciplines at the university to deliberate together. We brainstormed using Maslows hierarchy of need in formulating ways to tackle unemployment issue staring at our future. After few weeks of heavy thinking, Olusola came up with the idea of we starting with agriculture because food is the most essential need for humans and living things in general. And we accepted his idea, but Sarah urged us to formalise our union by registering our joint company under the law; so we saw that as a sign of seriousness which we all embraced. On completion of the business registration, we pulled resources together to acquire an acre of land on which we started planting fruits like Cucumber and Watermelon which we sold to our fellow students and other interested individuals. Gradually as our demand got higher and income became bigger, we diversified into other bussiness sectors. We secured a deal with a local radio station where we presented talks about security issues, risk and health and social events. After graduation from the university, we improved our synergy by channelling our energy into sustaining and expanding SYNEL INCORPORATION Twenty-one years in the business, we are now established in Real Estate business and Clothing and Textile. So big is our Company that we now have branches outside of the country. Currently, SYNEL INCORPORATION now has subsidiaries in •Farm Produce Enterprise •Agricultural Value Added Services •Real Estate •Clothing and Textile •Security Consultancy and Servicing •Counselling outfits for Love/belonging, esteem and self actualization. •Manufacture of Home electronic appliances. In our twenty-six years of developing SYNEL, we are able to employ over twenty-one thousand staffs worldwide. In fact some of our staffs, have left to establish their own businesses. In all, we have not badly as our achievements are our testimonies. I remain the humble co-ordinator of SYNEL INCORPORATION and happily married to Temitope a business partner who is also the head of the companys Financials. We wont rest on our oars, we will keep incorporating brilliant ideas towards developing SYNEL to a greater height and ultimately empower the populace with a highly motivated employment. Remembering that small idea that started right in my head and was helped by my friends to articulate at the back of the school kitchen back then is now a big employer of labour meaningfully, I am fulfilled. And this idea wont die but outlive us, as the company is on the stock market. Poverty can die and will die, when we are lead by positive ideas.
