CHANGING TIMES: It sometimes makes me laugh enough and then sob a bit toward the end of my sessions of laughter as soon as i remember just how difficult it used to be to appear on tv, or how one had to work their but off just to have their song or recording play on radio... Lately things have changed, and for the worst because, nowadays it seems like it depends on how much it doesnt suit you to be on tv in order for you to keep frequenting that screen... On the other hand, an individuals musical illeteracy seem to be the one propelling them to heights never imagined by anyone, and its like its a trend by radio stations to push only musicaly illeterate musicians... Apart from these semmingly, trendly lost radio stations, another hidden blow aimed at our music industry, which stil continues to silently weaken our still tender music industry is the coporate world especially cellphone companies who have in the past, up until now, dishonestly splashed large sums of money on upcoming potetial musicians thereby indirectly forcing them to negate the effort of thought necessary for the proffessional development of a musician by encouraging potential musicians to run to studios to replicate noise and programme beats just for the possibility of a quick buck coming from such neo-cheating establishments. The coporate world was supposed to, (as establishments run by people believed to have studied enough) guide potential musicians and encouraged them to learn the subject of music before starting to recording beats. And maybe sponsor them to take short courses in S.A for long term benefits. This alone could have lifted our musical standard to much higher levels than where it is now. Because even rappers in America are people who learned music before. I am a bass player and i loved rappers like Tupac Shakur, who was also a bass player... Or just my boy next door... DJ CLEO. The other entity i talked about earlier on radio seems to have employed the wrong people through out all government and private radio stations...
