CHAPLAINS CORNER...MARCH 30, 2014 My dear brothers and sisters at the Glendale Police Department, Spring is in the air and many parts of the United States are enjoying the sounds and smells of the newness of life. I like this time of the year when the summer birds return with their sounds of joy. Our azalea bushes are in full bloom. Yesterday Tony and I went to see the movie, GOD IS NOT DEAD. Friends from Phoenix were calling saying we had to see this movie. This is our 46 wedding anniversary weekend so we decided to go see this well spoken of movie. What a blessing. Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. Psalm 10:4 In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek Him; all his thoughts are, There is no God. I would like to ask you, What are you doing with Jesus? God is real. The Bible tells us all about God and HIS love for HIS creation. Romans 5:8 BUT GOD shows HIS love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. You can not be neutral about God...Revelation 3:16 15 I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of MY mouth. For some I am asking, What are you doing with Jesus? Who is God in your life? Is it you? We will all stand judgment someday before a holy God. What will your answer be when God asks you, Why should you enter heaven? Are you angry with God and therefore you feel you can deny Him? God is not going away! God always has been and HE always will be.....and another truth is God is good all the time...all the time, God is good! Life may not feel good, but that is because sin causes pain and suffering. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He, Jesus, might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:28-29. Please consider going to see GOD IS NOT DEAD. I think your life could be changed. I am here if I can serve you in any way. My love and prayers are always with you.
