CHAPTER 91 V1 – 16 speaks about God is a refuge and a fortress. Note( v1) Is. 25: 4, 32: 2, (v3) Prov. 6: 5, (v5) Job 5: 19, Is. 43: 2, (v8) Mal. 1: 5, (v10) Prov. 12: 21, (v11) Matt. 4: 6, Luke 4: 11, (v15) Job 123: 4, Is. 43: 2, Psalm 91 is a psalm of security. The two distinct voices in the psalm speak to the trusting believer in the Lord. The first voice assures the faithful of God’s protection (v1 – 13). The second voice is that of the Lord Himself who likewise pledges His watch care (v1 – 13).
