CHAPTER ONE: AN INTRODUCTION Why is there pain? Why is there suffering? Why are we alone? Man and woman sort is on a quest to nowhere to answer these grey inscriptions on the slabs of fate. Together through this lecture, we will hold hands and figure it out TOGEHTER (all caps) as brothers & sisters, as cousins that kiss. As a tight knit group, protected from the outside world by the clasp of our warm sweaty mittens, and our irrefutable claim to truth, light and love - a love so strong - a love so freaky. Yes, this lecture cuts to the core - a blade through butter to navigate the labyrinth - toward the towering white staircase of transcendence, up which we will ascend to marry in union, for the divine sticky honeymoon. But to get there, we need to start by asking a basic question: why are we so confused? Why cant we apply ourselves? to answer this, we need to look at the humming pork-ball control centre in the head of every dog, woman and child: THE BRAIN! (all caps) - Everything we see passes through the pinkish lobes - these are important: they are the doorkeepers to the neural boudoir beyond. Once our perceptions pass these, they enter the notion foyer, to be vetted for content. If a perception is lucky, it is stamped, becomes a notion and enters the tube of consideration, to be led to the concept chamber - here we decide - If the notion of pikelets enter this chamber, the strategy to eat them is not far behind - and often difficult or hazardous to derail. Both the tube and the chamber are kept buoyant by a generous layer of grape gelatine, kept runny by the heated pink coils at the top of the brain trunk. The Brain trunk transports concepts to the body, where a bad case of saturday night fever or the sudden urge to kick your grandmothers dog are indulged. So that is the brain. Take a good look - reflect - draw your own conclusions... for only as critical, inquisitive thinkers can we all get to thinking and agreeing on the exact same things.
