CHARGE THE AIR AROUND YOU! Do you want to speak? Pause a minute and think about what your usual conversations have been like. Is your speech profitable to others? Do your words build others up or pull them down? Above all, do your words glorify God? Stop and think first before you speak. Make sure you refrain from speaking anything negative. Vain and idle talk is a product of a vain and idle heart. If we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that much of our conversation is nothing more than empty talk. In Matthew 12:30-34, we are told that God takes notice of every word we say, even that which we ourselves do not notice. So, do not just fill the air; speak words that build other people up – words that edify, heal, deliver, bless and save. When your words are positive, the air around you would be filled with positive things, the air around you would be charged with positive ideas, opportunities and good will.
