Many charities, quite rightly, seek to tackle the widespread issues of poverty, education and health. They have the enormous challenge of raising the floor and providing a better environment for the many in their chosen field. MAD CHARITYᵀᴹ seeks to complement this by raising the ceiling through the development academically talented youngsters from financially disadvantaged homes across South Africa. By giving them an opportunity to receive a good education at a great school, while simultaneously mentoring, guiding and counselling them, we help them realise their full potential. We also support literacy and environmental education programmes aimed at helping young learners in rural, poor communities in South Africa to read, write and value their environment. Business organisations and sporting teams have long recognised the importance of nurturing top talent.
