***CHARITY GAME IN AID OF THE FRIENDS OF THE CANCER CENTRE *** Result Westland XI 5 v Bootle Street XI 4 Goals : Mark Connolly ⚽⚽ Dee McAllister ⚽ Paul Higginson ⚽ Darren Smyth ⚽ Great game for a great cause bootle street goin 2-0 up in half an hour before a brace from mark Connolly saw the game level at half time , second half what would have been a lovely goal from about 25 yards from myself only for a great save from their defender which led to a penalty up stepped Darren Smyth from the sideline the guy who helped make this game possible score from the spot before heading back to the stands to support again lol we then got another 2 goals to go 5-2 up from being 2-0 down but a lot of changing and messing about last 20mins saw bootle get the game back to 5-4 but with no time left to grab an equaliser we saw it through Very big thanks to Darren Smyth for approaching Ricky Johnston and especially to Ricky and Bootle street for inviting us to take part in a great game for an even better cause very grateful to have been a part in that today and are glad to help out 👍👍👍
