CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- If youve always dreamed of partying at one of New York Citys most iconic nightclubs, youre about to get your chance. Early next month, Charleston will host an event straight out of the 1970s and 80s. Studio 54 opened its doors in 1977, and famously hosted New Yorks elite. Celebrities included Andy Warhol, Liza Minnelli, Brooke Shields and even Pablo Picassos daughter, Paloma. Actress and singer Lorna Luft described the renowned nightclub by writing, Studio 54 made Halloween in Hollywood look like a PTA meeting. On Feb. 1, Carnaval Studio 54 -- hosted by Friends of the Clay Center -- will transform the Clay Center, sending it back in time with live music and entertainment, dancing, NYC cuisine and possibly even a celebrity sighting or two, thanks to celebrity impressionists. To get the most out of the evening, guests are encouraged to dress the part and mimic the authentic attire and style of the legendary nightclub. The WV Style Team has uncovered a few pointers on how to plan and prepare your outfit for the event. The Broadway at 210 Leon Sullivan will be hosting an after party.
