CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The first widespread snowstorm of the season is expected to hit West Virginia. The National Weather Service says most of the state is under a winter weather advisory on Tuesday. The weather service says up to 5 inches of snow is possible in mountainous areas including Fayette, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Raleigh, Randolph and Webster counties. Up to 2 inches is possible elsewhere in the state. Wind gusts up to 25 mph also could accompany the storm. The weather service says the storm could make for slippery driving conditions.
