CHECK YOUR SPIRITUAL CARBURETOR A Carburetor is the part of a car engine that mixes the air and petrol which burns in the engine to provide power. It is this power that is produced that makes a vehicle function. Without this, a car is nothings more than a carcass. Take away this power, a car becomes a garbage or at best a mere decoration. Power for Christian service is a product of correct Christian living, plus mixture of prayer and ever-increasing knowledge of God. Just as the burning that produces power in a car engine needs fuel and air, so also the spirit burning that produces power in the spirit man of a believer needs a mixture of correct Christian living, prayer and an ever-increasing knowledge of God. (Peter 1:5-10). The first symptom you notice in a car whose carburetor is malfunctioning is irregular movement. An experienced driver therefore knows that for a car to move smoothly, there must be a smooth supply of fuel to the carburetor. And for a smooth supply of fuel to the carburetor to be certain there is a need for removal of dirt whenever it is noticed in the carburetor. Your heart is your spiritual carburetor. It is the melting pot of things that determine your proficiency or otherwise in your life journey. Amen
