CHED must IMMEDIATELY release its final decision on the status of Filipino in the new college curriculum. Its been months since the consultation and the submission of position papers. Their collective incompetence and/or inaction is insulting, and infuriating. If I were Simoun and if this life were El Filibusterismo, Ill immediately gift them with that pomegranate-shaped crystal lamp, with nitroglycerine, of course. I hope our enemies do not use this status update against us. Goodness, thoughtcrime exists only in 1984 and the last time I checked, ours is officially a democratic country. Which is all the more reason to compel CHED to release its final decision. Democracy wont work if those in power will always dilly-dally on important decisions/issues. While we still hope for the best, we are preparing for the worst. Filing of administrative and criminal cases is among the popular suggestions. Mind you, we have a secret weapon behind typical legal remedies. We wont stop until we win this particular struggle. After all, we all know killing the national language means killing the Philippine social movements necessary tool. National struggles cannot be won without a national language. The swift resolution of this particular language struggle will certainly be beneficial to anyone who wants the Philippines freed from the shackles of neocolonialism, imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucrat-capitalism. Unless we free ourselves from the said evils, we cannot become effective net contributors to the global struggle for freedom. Hence, save the national language and win the war!
