CHEERS! HUNTING SEASON is HERE! YAY! This gorgeous German Short-haired Pointer was poised like a statue in the yard across the road from Smartville Station, in St. Mary NE last year. (Massaur (sp?) is the name of the residents?) If anyone here knows, I probably dont have the spelling correct. ;) Anyway, he (or she) was just *so still!* focused intensely on squirrels, or something else, for darn near over an hour! Sadly, I didnt have my sketchbook, :( (talk about a perfectly still subject!) ~~ BUT ~~ happily I did have my camera! :D I snapped the photo just as he turned his head to glance over at us, as we were walking across the road to walk over by the church, over to Susan Gorackes house. I was pleased to capture this sublime studious mug. Then, in just a few seconds, as nonchalantly as he had turned our way, he turned slowly back to stare at whatever had caught his attention an hour earlier. He was still there, in the same spot after we came back to the car from our walk! What a gorgeous breed and handsome dog!
