Ingredients..., 100 gm dry fish 75 gm black beans (mocha kottta) 3 egg plants (brinjal/kathirikai) each cut into 4 pieces 1 onion, finely chopped 1 tomato finely chopped 1/2 tsp vendhiyam 15 curry leaves 10 gm tamarind, made into a paste 1 tsp red chilli powder 2 tsp coriander powder salt to paste 5 tbsp oil , 1 cup (50ml) coconut milk How to make chettinad karuvadu kolambu. 1. Place a saucepan on flame and heat oil it 2. Fry the black beans for 5 minutes on medium flame 3. Soak the fried beans in a glass of water, for 1 hour 4. Pour oil the pan and fry vendhiyam and curry leaves in it 5. Add the chopped onions and tomatoes and fry well 6. Add the tamarind paste and a couple of classes of water to from a curry consistency 7. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and stir well 8. Add the egg plants and boil the mixture 9. Next, mix in the soaked beans and bring the mixture to a boil again 10. When the preparation is well cooked add coconut milk and cook 11. On the fist boil, add the dry fish and let the curry boil once 12. Remove from flame and serve hot.
