I would rather see my people live, enjoy the good things of life and hope for improved lifestyle in future. My Vision for Taraba State is therefore: To transform Taraba into a modern State, whose human, material and economic resources will be fully and comprehensively used so that her developmental achievements, enhanced security and conducive social environment that will make her a model State in the entire Country and beyond. The aim is to develop Taraba State to become the Agricultural, Tourism, cement, Information technology and Sports hub of Nigeria, among others. MY MISSION To build a modern Taraba State where its citizens will be fully developed and equipped in general knowledge of the global worldview, and properly empowered to compete favorably with the rest of the country and the world through: • The transformation and modernization of Information Communication Services. • A modernized, more functional and result-oriented educational and human development system. • Supporting health programmes and initiatives that will improve the quality of life and longevity of Taraba Citizens. • Networking with relevant NGOs and donor agencies for partnership with the purpose of securing funds for projects. • Ensuring Food Security through a modern and functional Agricultural programme. • Provision of basic modern infrastructures in the rural communities. • Development of the tourism industry. • Supporting invigorating and modernizing the industrial sector. • Development and modernization of the urban settlements. • Restructuring and modernization of the Civil Service. • Development and provision of programmes and projects that will create wealth and job opportunities. • Restructuring and modernization of the public sector. • Development and sustenance of more purposeful and effective sports programmes and activities. • Protection of the State’s cultural and traditional institutions. • Restructuring and modernization of the State security system.
