We have a summer berth in Porto Cervo and are used daily for short day trips, long lunches and hospitality for up to 10 guests, swimming and watersports etc. The Owners are good to work for and experienced in yachting although demanding as they do not like to be kept waiting and meals, guests and cruising is unplanned and unstructured. They have a full crew of 9 and for this position you will be completely responsible for the running and organization of the interior and working closely alongside the Captain for the overall smooth running of the boat. The crew is enthusiastic, motivated and professionally minded. Expectations are high for crew performance and you will be part of a friendly international team (3x Brits, 1xSA, 2x Italians, 1x Kiwi, 1x Croatian). The ideal candidate will have at least one season’s experience as a Chief Stew and understand how much hard work is required and the need to collaborate and communicate well with the Captain. A willingness for hard work, positive can-do attitude and kind spirit are a must. This job will intend on taking on those managerial/supervisory roles that an experienced Chief would normally be expected to handle. Responsibilities would involve three main areas: guest lunch/drinks service, overall organization and presentation of the interior, assisting with any administrative tasks whenever they are required. Previous experience, French or Italian speaking and tender licences are a plus. Good restaurant and hotel skills are needed. Smokers are not considered for this position. Certification requirements are: ENG1, STCW95, driving licence, fluent English speaker and a basic hygiene certificate. Accommodation will be in a shared girls cabin and is open to females only. Permanent position, immediate start, industry standard salary with 30 days holiday and medical cover.
