CHIEFTAIN DAILY ANNOUNCEMENT (WEDNESDAY 2.5.14) REGULAR SCHEDULE Any student interested in leadership at CHS next year drop by the athletic office and pick up and informational packet. Have you ever had a teacher or coach that inspired you to achieve your personal best? Has there ever been an educator that was there for you during a tough time in your life? Now is the time to recognize them. Nominate that coach or teacher for the Annual Most Inspirational Teacher Award. You may choose to write about any teacher or coach from kindergarten through today. Each teacher will receive their letter and a certificate. If your teacher is selected as Most Inspirational Teacher for 2014, you will attend the assembly to present the award. Don’t miss an opportunity to thank that important educator in your life. You can get a nomination form from your AB teacher or from Mrs. Brown in room B7. All submissions are due by noon, Friday, February 14, 2014. This Friday will be the staff vs. student basketball game. The game will be between Clark staff and the varsity 8th grade boys and girls teams and will take place during lunch in the gym. Everyone is welcome to attend to watch the game. The game will be in conjunction with the American Heart Association…so that means we will also be having a “red-out” at school that day. So wear red if you want to show your support! Special t-shirts will be on sale during lunch for only $5. All money raised will go to the American Heart Association. We are also having a special contest out in PE…do you want to earn a day of non-dress? That is right; you can earn a non-dress day in PE by simply donating a dollar to the American Heart Association. The period the buys the most $1 hearts, wins a day off of PE. So dig into those wallets and donate to a good cause. Look for the hearts being sold at break and lunch. If you are an 8th grade boys or girls’ varsity basketball player and you plan on playing in the staff vs. student game…please stop by the main office to get your free game t-shirt.
