CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL JOHN 8:42-47 say, “Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” In this passage Jesus is asking why these people can’t clearly understand Him because an intellectual problem but spiritual one. Paul verifies this in 1 Corinthians 2:14-16, “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” This is why prayer is needed before all evangelizing, all counseling, and all church services. Belonging to the devil means you don’t belong to God for there is NO neutral ground. The Bible says, they love their sin so if you come to some with the “Inconvenient Truth” they will reject it for a “Reassuring Lie”. The truth is inconvenient to them because it doesn’t change for them and since it doesn’t change for them than they have to change for it, and this is a problem for them. That reassuring lie is a comfort that they can do as they please and since God is a God of love they have no worries of hell. Conviction is an open door for the Spirit of God to come in and change that heart! Now not only do people shut this door to the Spirit, so do these Devils calling themselves Christians as they pacify their sins, rather than letting them know how serious sin is to God. I’m going to close with this, Adam and Eve simply ate out of a tree they were told not to, and everything you see today exists because of it. Now if God did have a sin scale, we should all be burning forever, cause our sin would totally supersede theirs. Inconvenient Truth is better than a Reassuring Lie, IS WHAT IM SAYING CLEAR TO YOU?
