CHIMURENGA FANS GET TOEGETHER PARTY 2014....ZVAKANAKA TIMBOSANGANAAAAAAA Chimurenga music fans scattered all over the world are invited to a rare and inaugural get together gig to meet and mingle, know each other, share ideas and above all enjoy the unifying music of the legendary Thomas Mukanya Mapfumo.We want to know each other and forge ahead with Chimurenga music. We only came to know each other through the music via various social media platforms saka ZVAKANAKA TIMBOSANGANA pazvokwadi end of 2014.In a way we will be celebrating Mukanya music and the Blacks Unlimited for over 4 decades in the trenches of a musical journey with countless achievements. The get together party will be a happening in Zimbabwe as a show of the undying support of the music that contributed immensely to the liberation of this country and continues to shape the socio-economic dynamics of our everyday realities. The party is fronted by a Steering Committee comprising of the following Chimurenga music fans; John Muketsi, Webster Vokoto, Denford Njanjari, Christopher Munodawafa, Tommasso Mafanafana,Edwin Msipa and Allan Mukwati. The details of the party are as follows: Venue: Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex Date: 22 December 2014 Contribution fee: $25/Head in advance (to cover running costs and provisions for food and drinks).No fees will be accepted at the gate as this is not an income generating venture. Payments are accepted starting from today up to 20 November 2014 in order to allow the Committeee ample time for preparations. Payments should be made to our Treasurer Edwin Msipa via the ecocash platform +263 77 320 6455.Those in South Africa can use the same number to pay through mukuru .We are still exploring other payment platforms for those outside Zimbabwe and South Africa.
