CHOOSING FRIENDS Real n Positive Thoughts Your choice of friends has greater significance than simply the pleasures of the day. Have you ever wondered why you click with some people and not with others? Sure, you probably have the same interests and look at life in pretty much the same way, but there’s more to it than that when it comes to those you call your best friends. There’s a connection, something you can’t really define. You just click.That connection, even if you don’t talk about it much, is probably based on the values you share. You don’t have to sit around all day talking about values to know deep down where your friend stands on important things like honesty and loyalty and trust – the glue that holds your relationship together. Choose your close friends carefully. Some are best left as social or business friends!! When you choose your friends based on position values, you are living out a principle that is repeated throughout the Bible: You need to choose your friends and companions carefully, since your relationships will in large part determine whether you stay the course of faith. Place a high priority on maintaining your close friendships; those who encourage you in your walk with the Lord. Be the one who reaches out and encourages and always gives the benefit of the doubt when misunderstandings threaten the relationship. When you go the extra mile for your friends, you prove yourself to be the kind of friend others want to click with. Be the friend you want and need!! Pray: 1.Father, open my eyes to locate friends who respect my faith, accepts me unconditionally, and motivate me to become a better person. 2.Father, keep me from unprofitable friends and those who seek to demean and demote me. 3.Let me show love, O Lord, to those friends who have stood by me in all ways, in Jesus name.
