CHOVISI CRICKET TOURNAMENT Yesterday our gnati youngsters played cricket tournament at N L Ground, Dahisar, yesterday i e 04/01/2015. The participants were far from Kalyan & Virar. I appreciate the boys for travelling from Kalyan to take part in the event. Four teams with 48 players comprising age from 17 years to 50+ years played the game with sportsmen spirit. It was enjoyable to watch the game. The final was played between Red & Orange team & the winners were ORANGE TEAM captained by Mr. Dhaval Sureshkumat Thaker (Choriwad). Congratulation to the winners. Mr. Hinesh N Trivedi (Ravol) was unlucky to complete hat trick by winning the final. Our many gnati people staying near by were in the ground to watch the tournament. Our prominent personality - shri Maganbhai Bhatt, shri Bipinbhai Pathak, shri Jayantilal Upadhyay, shri L C Joshi and most impotant shri Bhogilal Trivedi from Ravol happened to in Mumbai for personal visit, stayed for one additional day to enjoy the game. Similarly Bank of Baroda has sponsored Rs. 5000/- for the event as shri Rajendra L Joshi (Deshottar) put the great efforts to get the sponsorship from the Bank. The organizers have called professional umpires & scorer to avoid any favorism. shri Yogen Josh (Choriwad) has give untired service from morning till evening for distribution snacks & water to all and sponsored cold drink. Our Mahila Mandal has also served the lunch to players & other visitors. Similarly shri Kalpesh P Joshi of verabar (Nanavati hospital) has arranged & sponsored breakfast. The several trophies like best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, man of tournament, fair play team and the champion team were distributed through the prominent personalities. We thanks to the organizers- shri Bakul Bhatt, shri Haren Purani & shri Hinesh Trivedi for organizing event successfully, the players, the donors, the sponsors, the service providers, umpires,scorer and all the people who spared the holiday to watch the tournament & became part of the event.
