CHRIS KEHINDE NWANDU and Gov ROTIMI AMAECHI! I was one of those that strongly backed Gov Chibuike Amaechi during his war against Goodluck Jonathan..My stand and support was so intense to the extent that most of my friends and colleagues believed I must have been on Amaechis payroll..Some even said I DON HAMMER..The support was like a cult to me that I regularly received calls from some of his commissioners and aides..But I know myself, once I am well convinced about any issue I dont look back..I never received a dime from Amaechis camp and never would have accepted even if given..They didnt also made any offer to me,i guess they knew my stand in such issue..Even when they ferried and SETTLED some Journalists to PH,i was not part of the PARTY..I believed Chibuike was unnecessary being oppressed by the powers that be in Abuja..When I had the opportunity to interview Asari Dokubo in Abuja for about 3 hours,he said several unprintable things about Amaechi that I felt was not for the ears (whether true our not)..But in the last few months,i have changed my mind about the Rivers State Governor..His body language, speeches and interviews of late has shown that Amaechi may not be the same man i was so much IN LOVE with.. I have realized that Amaechis has a personal axe to grind with Goodluck Jonathan (with the exception of Wike ,Mbu and Patience )..Amaechi uses every opportunity at his disposal to rubbish Mr President even when the man MUST have ignored them except for his last speech in Benin (Where he never mentioned Amaechi;s name but APC)..The last straw for me was an interview i watched this morning on Aljazeera (COUNTING THE COST) where Amaechi accused Goodlucks government of several things even when the question has nothing to do with the Federal Government.. I have come to the final conclusion now that Amaechi develops CONVULSION every morning when he wakes up just thinking about Goodluck Jonathan..Amaechi has lost me in his war..He may need a lot more convincing henceforth for me to take him seriously.. That to me is just too bad an assessment of a man i once ADORE and Cherished and was ready to do anything for even when i never met him one on one.. Next time i will be more careful taking a STAND on issues concerning NIGERIAN politicians.. Would you blame me?.. Chris Kehinde Nwandu is the Editor In Chief of CKN Nigeria
