CHRISTIANS CAN BE BLIND TOO. A few decades ago, my pastor spent some years working in England. He attended local churches, participated in prayer meetings and deliverance ministry, baptised people in the local river, and generally saw Gods Kingdom advanced by many Christians. One, a Curate in the local Church of England, became a very good friend of his. He returned to Australia when work in England became hard to find. Many years later, he thought to return and contacted that old friend, the Curate. He was treated with caution on the phone. It became apparent that things had changed and, when asked, the former Curate said that his work now involved finding homes and jobs for immigrant Muslims. My paster was taken aback by this but, such was the former friendship, he rang his friend a few more times. Each time, though, the conversations became more chilly, and the last one suddenly became quite hot. Here is the tale in perhaps too brief detail; but the essence is there. A man on fire for God, who saw people come to know Jesus as their saviour Lord, who saw people healed and delivered and heard a message from my pastor that he readily acknowledged as from God, slowly became cold enough to actually become involved in the satanic plot to undermine his homeland, his own country. Do you wonder how the end-times oppression will come upon the earth? Ill tell you how: Christians were too lazy to pray! A weapon powerful enough to bring down strongholds and destroy the work of the enemy is USELESS if not actually used. Want peace and prosperity in your homeland / country so that you too may enjoy the fruit of blessings from God? Pray! Want to see your political leaders make good choices and decisions instead of ludicrous ones that further the decline of civilisation as we know it? Pray! Dont know exactly what to pray for because it seems all too big to do anything about anyway? Pray anyway! Pray to know what to pray! Just Pray!!! Youre been told!
