CHRISTIANS + THE BIBLE: Powerful truth. Most wont like it. Majority cant accept it. Many would consider it evil to admit it. But it is an undeniable truth. Copyright. Stories. Translations by Human Beings. Men with an agenda, opinion, specific purpose. Theres not question GOD exists in the Bible. Theres no question that a good deal of it is truth that when exercised leads to great blessed lives. But not seeing the inconsistencies, not accepting the manipulation, the confusion, the individual ideas included which explains why in one book / chapter it says one thing, and in another it says the complete opposite. Its the same as getting 5 people to share a dramatic or traumatic event and then write their version of it. It would be nearly impossible for their accounts to be remembered identically. As it is, you give 5 men an abstract piece of art and ask them to write about the artists intended meaning and youll get 5 unique ideas based on each individuals lifestyle and experience, and typically maybe ONE if any hit the intended meaning on the head. By all means read the Bible. Study the words in it... And let what truly MOVES you and SPEAKS to your spirit become a part of your life. But accept the truth... Its so non-specific that it can have people strapping bombs to themselves to kill in the name of God. It can have people hating other people because the words and intention is unclear. And like they say, no amount of words could ever begin to explain or describe what God is. And the idea that he stopped teaching and evolving over time is insane to me. Even with the similarities of Revelations with current events, God still has learned to move and shake in greater ways that the Bible cant even begin to explain or describe. Im sure some will exercise the unfollow button... And I understand that. And still it is...
