CHRISTMAS BY THE GRACE OF GOD The 25th of December brings a lot - TopicsExpress

CHRISTMAS BY THE GRACE OF GOD The 25th of December brings a lot of fond memories to me and I would like to share it with you briefly. I heard the beautiful rendition of the carol ‘Oh Night’ for the first time on the morning of December 25 1996. It was sung by the choir of my precious Church then – Scripture Pasture Christian Centre. The way the Choir sang the song and the soloist’s performance during the singing lasted me for decades! On December 25 2000 I was formally selected as a minister in the Church my family attended then in London – RCCG Holy Ghost Zone, Old Kent Road. It was December 25th in the year of our Lord 2005 that a Church was started in our home in London. It was divine revelation for all of us who attended the simple family Christmas dinner then. It was awesome and the Church is still on and doing well in London now – RCCG Love Assembly, Camberwell. Christmas Day every year has always been a solemn day for me. The greatest or fondest of these memories is the fact that whether man – declared or GOD – ordained, 25th December happens to be the anniversary of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. An awesome day it is for me going by my birth and my experience of the births of my children right there when they first breathed the earth. Although Jesus never said we should celebrate His birthday, only that we remember His death that is the ransom for our sins, the whole world decided to celebrate His birthday on a particular day. And it is the most peaceful day of the year, wow!!! Not only do we all agree it is a day for rest to celebrate with family and friends, we also decide to bury the axe and be merry together despite our differences. It is also a day that people believe everybody should have a gift – which is what He did by coming to the world in the flesh and dying on the cross. Recently I discovered that people’s belief in Santa Claus, is closely related to the Believer’s belief in GOD. For example people believe Santa comes from the North Pole, i.e. high up above somewhere. They also believe that Santa is kind and loving and no matter what you do you still deserve a gift at Christmas – he cannot bear it when a child cries for a gift on Christmas. I also gathered that people believe Santa performs ‘miracles’ and knows everyone of us from childhood!!!! I mean he knows what you think, what you did and what you are going to do and so on. Well there you go, I hope you are as surprised as I am. To cap it people believe that if you only believe in Santa you will see his ‘magic’ and receive his gifts!!! This is amazing. Could we please tell people wherever you are, all over the world, that instead of the pretend Santa there is a real ‘Santa’, the Father before Christmas Who actually does all these things they are looking for. Also let them know that all He requires of us is that we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, whoever we are and wherever we live, and all those things we seek after will be added unto us – Matthew 6: 32, 33. Oh how awesome it is once again to experience the miracle of Christmas and to receive the precious gift, Lord Jesus Christ through the stockings of our heart, from the GREATEST FATHER of CHRISTMAS, the ALMIGHTY JEHOVAH. Would you let them know that their Christmas present is waiting for them and if ONLY THEY WILL BELIEVE THEY WILL HAVE ALL THINGS EXCEEDING ABUNDNTLY FAR ABOVE ALL THEY CAN EVER ASK OR THINK OF, IN JESUS@ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU, ONE AND ALL!!!!
