CHRISTMAS SONG #5 - Mary Did You Know? by Kutless This is a rockin good version of this song that ponders, did Mary know the impact her baby would have on the world? We know she knew she was carrying Gods son...but did she fully understand what Jesus was here to do? I dont think so - at least not until much later...I think like most Jewish people she thought He would be the Savior in the sense that King David was a great ruler - with the sword. BUT Jesus came to rule with LOVE. He taught us radical things like love your neighbor or even more radical love your enemies ...and He backed up His teachings with actions showing us how. For example; He met the woman at the well (a Samaritan - despised by the Jewish people) talked with her and showed her she needed a savior to save her from her sins. ...and then, most importantly, Jesus showed us the greatest example of love - He laid down His life for us!
