Even if you are not Christian, even if you are agnostic or atheist, it is a beautiful time to get together with friends and family and have a beautiful cooked dinner or lunch and exchange presents...Putting up and decorating a Christmas tree need not be a religious gesture. Yes you may still have the odd fight with the odd member of your family but its still a great time. SO, dont be afraid to offend somebody else by saying Merry Christmas....Christmas is a tradition in our civilizations and will never go away....I know some liberal Jewish people who celebrate Hanuka (a kind of Christmas) and then celebrate Christmas...jf
