CHRONICLE OF THE HYPOCRITE I am not getting something right. Just - TopicsExpress

CHRONICLE OF THE HYPOCRITE I am not getting something right. Just because Efusi Leopards won the Maasaishield (keep in Mind there is no war around) everyone now remembers I was a Gor fan? Ps..I am also a Jesus fan. And Jesus taught us to be corteous and caring to our brothers. So we shared that... Away from that, the intrigues of being a weetabix Christian have bit me so hard this weekend. I looked as people who go to church every Sunday passed by and really felt what Jesus meant in the good samaritan story; Well, this is what happened, I was feeling all fly with some swag in town. Bam! I start nose bleeding in the most queer of places. I&M building. Ugly scenes of thick blood (I am healthy :-) ) . And all I needed was a bottle of water from a restaurant that was ten steps away. But Oh, fellow righteous christians were too busy, its the city you know. Im sure in their minds they were like, Na huyu kijana nini mbaya na yeye. Anawezaje nosebleed town. Hana ata adabu. i.e, yours truly here chose to nosebleed in town, specifically outside a posh building. It was funny really, that all the people around knew what they were supposed to do, but couldnt risk getting their hands a little dirty. Weetabix Christians. Now, I am sure most of us would have done the same, so dont feel lonely, you have branches all over East africa. But from that funny incident, I got a message for our week. As followers of Jesus, we usually know what do do. But we let the systems and friends around us dictate how we do... Did you get me? Remember the woman in Luke who washed the feet of Jesus and applied perfume on it with her hair? Find the story in Luke and it reads that the men were reclining after a meal. The place had pharisees and disciples and Jesus. NO WOMAN was there. But that was not what the woman saw, she saw only Jesus, did what was necessary and wasforgiven. Then the Bible finishes that story by saing, your faith has healed you. WHich begs the question, is faith just the belief that if I do A I will get B? No. Faith is in itself an action. And we have faith in the word, meaning, we should apply the teachings in whole, not part. Friends we may go to church every Sunday, lead praise, worship to blood tears, preach to filled altar calls... But the small actions we should do that we dont do, will cost us alot. The litter that bothers your eye, pick it. The tithe that makes you guilty, pay it. The friend that needs you, help them. The stranger that looks in need, be the need. remember the song, whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. It cant be clearer than that. Dont be a weetabix believer. Self righteousness is associated with big actions, but that simple ignorance, is in itself arrogance. So... You know where Im driving at already. Do something for once that does not seem to benefit you. Blessed is the hand that...? Haiya! Kumbe unajua? Blessed week. Show christianity, by action.
