CHURCH WITH NO PREACHING?! Sun., 11-23 was a unique service at P.C. No preaching. It was songs, testimony, Scripture and Communion. Its only the 2nd time we have planned a service like that. I think Steve is kinda going to make it an annual tradition :-) Marty Arbuiso shared some of her testimony and it was a GREAT blessing! It was heartfelt, funny, and inspiring. The world needs more like her. Uncle Jim Rauch shared a medley of sorts as he sang and played guitar. From classics, to a song he wrote, to yodeling, joke telling and praising God! I love hearing him play and sing. Jesse McCoy did a Lucrae song, which was a first for Pleasant Chapel. He did a SPLENDID job! It was even more inspiring than I had expected! I look forward to hearing more of that! Even the older people were complimenting. Mark Linn and I were blessed to do a small singing part in the song - supporting Jesse. Mark and I also did a Casting Crowns song- The Well- for the first time. Very good words that song. The praise team did great! Jackye Griffith shared with me afterward with tears in her eyes how one of the songs they sang (Can He? Could He? Would He?) touched her as it took her down memory lane when my Dad and others sang it and her parents got saved that day if I remember correctly. Jackie, correct me if I am wrong please. The worship band did wonderfully and I noticed they did a new song! (I think) One of my many faves! And last, but FAR from least- ANOTHER FIRST- played a trio of trumpets! Ok, I dont know if what Bro. Terry was playing is technically a trumpet, but definitely a horn of some sort :-) Bro. Terry Griffith, my brother Steve Rauch and Shannon Elizabeth Crist played When We All Get To Heaven and did a good job at that :-) I hope to see/hear more of that too! Shannon hadnt heard that song before, so it was very new to her, but she did a good job :-) 💗
