CIRCLE Learning Pillars Study Buddy Dreams on Wheels Year 2 The ADP Philippines C.I.R.C.L.E Learning Pillar’s Study Buddy Dreams on Wheels Year 2 in partnership with the Families and Children for Empowerment and Development Foundation (FCED) was a project that aimed to prepare current 42 ADP Scholars to pass science oriented high schools and top-performing state universities entrance examinations. This was 15-week project consisted of nine Saturdays dedicated to tutorials sessions and three Saturdays of educational trips. The entire project ran from October 2013 to March 2014. We firmly believe that admission to good schools and educational field trips will help our scholars achieve their full potentials and this will bring them one step closer to their dreams. This project also aimed to change the perception of the public towards the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry by proving that BPO employees can also make a difference in our society. Tutorial Sessions: The tutorial sessions covered in-depth English, Science and Math lessons facilitated by volunteer teachers. All volunteer teachers were ADP employees’ who are passionate towards youth development. Classes were held inside ADP training rooms from 8 Am to 12 NN. This was after our full eight hour graveyard shifts. To ensure the quality of learning, five volunteer teachers were assigned to handle ten scholars per tutorial sessions. Games and other icebreakers were also regular part of the tutorial sessions to ensure that the scholars were having fun while learning. Educational Trips: The educational trips gave our scholars the chance to visit museums, parks and other educational places inside and outside Metro Manila. The Mind Museum and Ocean Park tours have broadened their understanding not just on academics, but also about the importance of protecting the environment. On the other hand, visits to heritage sites like the Philippine National Museum, the Museong Pambata, and the Fort Santiago helped them realized that being a Filipino is beautiful in itself. Miscellaneous Activities: Outside the 15-week project proper, there was an additional three Saturdays dedicated for the Opening Program, Gift Giving Day and Culminating Activity. We also organized several fund-raising activities throughout the duration of this project. https://youtube/watch?v=PMh1BdLw1LE
