CIRCLE OF DUST Descend from their reworking of the BRAINCHILD classic Mindwarp released in 1992 being turned into a CIRCLE OF DUST album released in 1994. Apparently around this time CIRCLE OF DUST was gaining popularity and touring and dint have time record a new album that wasnt even finished being written. Instead under record label pressure from R.E.X. the band assembled a slightly different version of the BRAINCHILD album from 1992 and released as a CIRCLE OF DUST album called Brainchild in 1994 to give the fans something new while they waited. Some fans that had been following his work were disappointed with this move by the label, but it provided lots more exposure for CIRCLE OF DUST since the BRAINCHILD album was already out of print before the CIRCLE of DUST version of the album was released. Descend is song that engages in some great sampling and noises complimented with some great panning techniques, some heavy industrial beats, dark guitars, and a vocal style in the verses that is that of a God. The lyrics are also a pinnacle of genius word crafting, especially when combined with choice of samples used and spliced up.
