Pope Francis has been dubbed as the champion of the poor. According to CBCP’s statement, the year 2015 is the time to re-examine the use of natural resources to make sure that they benefit the poor. According to Fr. Enrico Martin F. Adoviso, chairman of Manila’s (RCAM)’s Commission on Social Services and Development (CSSD), “We as the Church of the Poor are called to renew our commitment to Christ’s mission and to always take the side of the poor and the oppressed, especially when and where there is injustice and denial of basic human rights. The farmers that till the land to bring us food, the fisher folks who navigate the seas for us and the workers who run the industries are still materially poor after decades and generations of work for living. Their dignity as co-creator of the Lord should be reclaimed.” As we begin a new liturgical year, we are glad to inform you of the program of formation for 2014. GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND MINISTRY MANAGEMENT SEMINAR 7 February 2015 (Saturday) 8:00 am - 12:00 nn at the Lay Formation Chapel San Carlos Seminary Formation Complex, Guadalupe, EDSA, Makati City Donation This is a meeting of all coordinators of the different lay liturgical ministries. The formation program for the year 2014 will be discussed and instructions will be given. We request all coordinators to be present in this meeting. Please fill out our LAY MINISTRY COORDINATOR’S INFORMATION SHEET (please see attached) and submit them during the meeting at the registration booth. Please include ALL the necessary information required: NAME, MINISTRY, MAILING ADDRESS, EMAIL ADD, CONTACT NOS. Please have it typewritten; if not please, WRITE IN PRINT. EMHC BASIC SEMINAR 14 February 2015 (Saturday) 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at the Arzobispado de Manila Chapel, Intramuros, Manila. Registration fee: 250.00 Php. 1. All Basic Formation seminars are composed of the Liturgical Formation and Doctrinal Formation. Participants are required to attend both seminars. 2. Application forms with picture and recommendation letters of those who had been screened in the parish level are to be submitted to the office of the Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission one month before the scheduled basic seminar. Application forms should also include contact numbers of the applicant. “No recommendation letter, no seminar” policy will be implemented. 3. Please bring one (1) 2x2 picture for the registration form. 4. The ID will be given on the day of the basic formation. This is the second seminar for all EMHC, Lectors and Commentators and Greeters and Collectors to complete the requirement for the Basic Seminar. 2. Please bring your ID for your attendance.
