CITATION ON CHILOS ANUM CHIBUIKE GODSENT SNR., ‘CANDIDATE OF THE “SOCIAL DEMOCRATICE PARTY (SDP)” ON THE POLITICAL DEBATE FOR CANDIDATES FOR THE IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ISIALA MBANO CONSTITUENCY IN THE 2015 GENERAL ELECTION HOLDING SATURDAY, JANUARY 24, 2014 AT RIGA HOTELS EZIHE. The Chairman of this August occasion, Distinguished guests; it is my singular honor and privilege to present to you today an accomplished leader of the twenty first century who has paid his dues in all spheres of life for the emancipation of mankind. As it seems on that creation day, the Almighty God thoroughly washed his hands and took his time before creating this dynamic young man with enviable qualities and named him “GODSENT”. Just as in the record of the Holy Bible; when God demanded for who will go into the world to save mankind and Jesus said SEND ME. Thus today, I present to you the man ‘God’ has sent to Isiala Mbano to be the touch bearer. This ‘young man’ has sound moral upbringing, self-discipline, integrity, thoroughly educated, unflinching mind-set and upswing social and political mobility. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you this moment, a distinguish citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a front runner international pro-democracy activist, a renowned Electrical/ Electronics Engineer, a computer scientist, a social engineer, and above all, a ‘REVOLUTIONARY’. He has led various political struggles geared towards the economic and socio-political liberation and emancipation of the oppressed, repressed, exploited and toiling people of our society. Chairman Sir, permit me to present to this August gathering, Chilos Anum Chibuike Godsent Snr. the leader and commander-in-chief of the twenty first century revolutionary movement in Africa. “Commander”, as he is popularly called by his disciples, allies and associates, was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State of Nigeria. Chilos Godsent Snr. began his educational career at the State School Rebisi Port Harcourt and ended his primary education at St. Paul’s Primary School Okpuala, Ikwuano Autonomous Community, He attended Aquinas Secondary School Osuh, Government Technical College Port Harcourt, thereafter gained admission into the famous University of Port Harcourt where he studied and obtained his B.Eng in Electrical/Electronics Engineering in 2001 and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science in 2006. Chilos Godsent Snr. is an active member of several professional bodies, civil rights and socio-political movements, some of which are: Fellow of Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), member, Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and member Africa Think Tank Forum. He has also served at different capacities, including: Member; Student Representative Council – University of Port Harcourt (1996-1997), National Director, Action & Mobilization - National Association of Nigerian Student (1998-1999), President; Pan African Youth Movement (PAYM), Treasurer; Civil Liberties Organization (CLO) South-South zone, President; National Chairman Youth Committee, Ohanaeze Ndigbo (2007), Imo Mass Movement (2010-Date), National Vice Chairman South-East; People’s Action for Democracy (2009-Date), Chairman; Political Action Committee, Ohanaeze Ndigbo (2007), President; Council for Leadership & Development (2007-Date), President, Igbo National Council (INC), Director, Ogbajirigwe Ideological Movement (2013-date), State Organizing Secretary, Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) June 2011 – August 2014, member, State Interim Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) August 2014 – November 2014, to mention but a few. Chilos Godsent Snr was the House of Assembly candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in 2003, candidate of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011 and now candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) 2015 general elections respectively. Chilos Godsent has written and edited many political and revolutionary leaflets, articles, bulletins, declarations etc at various capacities such as: author, chief editor, editorial adviser, and consulting editor. Apart from his visionary and exemplary leadership in civil rights and socio-political movements, Chilos Godsent Snr. is a successful businessman; he is the President /CEO, CHANUC Ventures, a seasoned consultant on: Information Communication & Technology (ICT), Human Resource Development & Management, Crises Management, Peace Building, Conflict & Dispute Resolution, Lobbying, Packaging, Strategic Planning & Policy Management etc. As a renowned cadre in revolutionary struggles, Chilos Godsent Snr. has participated and supervised many political projects such as, Presidential campaign organization, Governorship campaign organization and Senatorial campaign organization etc. currently; he is the South-East Zonal Chairman, Project System Change - a Political Project committed to the enthronement of democratic leadership through popular participation of the people and finally, the author of the best seller practical political manual; “The Art of Political Struggle” and “Doctrine of Leadership Development”. Mr. Chairman Sir, it’s for this distinguished personality, a rare gem, a socio-political mobilizer, an ideologue, a visionary and dependable generational leader of the twenty first century that we have gathered here today to express our profound appreciation and support for his outstanding contributions to the development of mankind and society.
