CITIZEN Q: Lower Sackville is getting a Woody for Christmas. The talking tree, like Woody that used to be at Mic Mac Mall, is going to be set up at Acadia Hall. Coun. Brad Johns used his discretionary fund to buy the $25,000 tree. Every city councillor has $94,000 to spend on capital projects for community non-profits. The money is most often used for things like public gardens and trails. Johns says downtown has the tree lighting, Spryfield has a parade, and now Sackville has a robotic tree to draw people there over the holidays. Do you think an 18-foot, silicone, animated Christmas tree is a good investment for Sackville? Let us know what you think by calling 407-2100. * Its like the one in this YouTube video*
