CITY ALERTS: Beginning on June 24, 2014, the northbound lane on Independence Street, from W. Park Avenue to W. Maine Street, will be closed to the public to provide for the installation of a new sanitary sewer line. This work is expected to be completed on or before Aug. Due to the 4th of July Holiday, the Friday trash route will not be collected on Friday, July 4th. Friday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday, July 2nd. Residents will need to place the green poly carts on the curb the same day as the household trash during this week. All other routes will remain the same. Additionally, the Recycle Center will be closed Friday, July 4th and the Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
