CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES September 9, 2013 • 5:30 p.m. • City Hall A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Zabel on September 9, 2013 at 5:30 P.M. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Donehoo, Curtis, and Halligan; Donaldson was absent. Staff present included Dawne Bowman, City Clerk; Doug Polen, City Administrator; and Carl Sonksen, City Attorney. Donehoo made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Bowman, all aye, motion carried. Halligan made a motion to approve minutes of the August 26, 2013 meeting seconded by Donehoo, all aye, motion carried. Donehoo made a motion to approve the payment of the bills, seconded by Bowman, all aye, motion carried. A discussion was held on city employees holding a position on boards, such as Ryan Brown on the Board of Adjustments and Jon Huggins on the Low Rent Housing Board. It was a unanimous decision that the Council was not in favor of this practice and would like to fill these positions with other willing persons. Lenox Time Table, Ben French offered to put something in the paper regarding the duties of the boards, and Polen will utilize the City of Lenox facebook page. Halligan made a motion to approve Resolution 13-18 TO ACCEPT 2012-13 STREET FINANCIAL REPORT, seconded by Curtis, all aye, motion carried. Halligan moved to adjourn the meeting, Curtis seconded, all aye, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
