CITY HALL 4:00 PM WEDNESDAY - BE THERE - WEAR GREEN! To: Councilman Masson Forty Five years ago my father took our family to see a beautiful lot at the north end of Escondido. We drove by the Escondido Country Club that he was so proud to have in our town and then proceeded to the lot he wanted to build a home on. Well he did build a home for us near the Escondido Country Club. We have lived in this father built home for 43 years raising out children here and our grandchildren enjoying this land. My heart aches when I look at the greens now at the country club. What joy our children had swimming there tennis lessons and of course our son when he grew up joined the country club also. The club was the primary place in Escondido for business meetings weddings retirement parties. The country club and this area has been an Escondido Icon. This old woman even had golf lessons there. The hundreds of walks I have had in this area for 43 years have kept me strong. Should any of this matter to this city or the city council. The change will hurt this sweet area the traffic the school problems. Please consider the long time residents and how this will hurt our home value and our lives. Sylvia Wacknitz
