SAFETY AND SECURITY LAW ENFORCEMENT & SECURITY LEARNER LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS (Contract positions) PAY SCALE: TASK LEVEL T6 BASIC SALARY: R110 637 PER ANNUM LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS (Permanent positions) PAY SCALE: TASK LEVEL T7 BASIC SALARY: R122 358 PER ANNUM REF NO: SS 56/13 REQUIREMENTS: Learner Law Enforcement Officer: - Grade 12 Qualification (Matriculation Certificate) proof must be furnished (certified copies only). - Able Bodied, Mentally and Physically fit - Successfully complete entry level fitness and written assessment - No criminal record - Submit him / herself to a medical examination as determined by the Executive Head of the Service; and is found to be physically and medically fit for appointment - Has a valid code B (Code 08; manual transmission; driver’s license) proof must be furnished - Proficient in English - Complies with any other requirements as determined by the City of Cape Town Law Enforcement Officer: - Must meet the requirements as stated above - Be in possession of a Peace Officer Certificate JOB PURPOSE: It is the incumbent’s responsibility to; under the guidance of an experienced Law Enforcement officer to study and enforce the City’s By Laws; regulations and crime prevention.
