CITY OF MODESTO IS HIRING: AIRPORT MANAGER Airport Manager - City of Modesto (Modesto) compensation: $7,037 - $8,557 Monthly To plan, organize, direct and coordinate the activities of the Airport Division including the use, maintenance and security of the City/County Airport, the development of airport facilities; to coordinate airport activities with other departments and divisions; and to provide highly complex staff assistance to higher level management. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in airport management or operations of an airport served by a certified air carrier; including one year providing technical and functional supervision over assigned personnel. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in aviation management or a related field. License or Certificate Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California drivers license. Accreditation by the American Association of Airport Executives is preferred. Successful candidate must obtain this accreditation within two years of appointment to the position. Failure to obtain the required accreditation may result in termination.
