CK2 Story-time! Gamer Stephen Lorimor shared this tragic tale with us: My favorite moment in Crusader Kings was when my king died leaving two twin sons in their early 20s. The throne went to the elder, a just and honorable man filled with good traits. His vassals and subjects loved him, and his rule promised to be one of enlightenment and wisdom with massive building and development. I say promised, because he took an arrow to the throat while fending off a pesky Norse raid which otherwise would have been as significant as a mosquito bite. His younger brother, filled with darkness and vile and tons of evil traits, ascended the throne. His vassals immediately sought to overthrow him. Over the next twenty years he crushed multiple revolutions and civil wars. He ruled with iron and fire and blood.
