CLARIFICATIONS: 1. The new rules are the result of the slavery law that past over 2 years ago. It has nothing to do with any rally or any other acts by Kav LaOved and/or caregivers. It is a result of the work of the former Interior Minister - Eli Yshai. 2. The new rules will apply on all caregivers - old and new. Those who already live in Israel will get a visa to the region of their current employers. 3. Kav LaOved fought in the past against the law, and will continue fighting against the new rules. 4. the domestic workers convention is supposed to protect caregivers in Israel. We will continue are work to ask the government to sign this convention, with the help of members of the Israeli parliament. If the convention will be signed, we will be able to try and change these rules. 5. We will hold another BIG rally before Passover, with the hope that the government will change its mind. It is a struggle, but we will do whatever we can to try and fight it. Of course, we will need your help and support. We will keep you updated with any change that may occur. Good luck to all of us!!
