CLASS A-Aminah Transportation wants to fill 10 seats-Lakewood, CO-REGIONAL: Dear Gary, Aminah Transportation wants to fill 10 seats with Class A drivers in Lakewood, CO-REGIONAL Aminah Transportation is looking for 10 drivers with a couple of years experience. Were located in picturesque Lakewood, Colorado next to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Ideal candidates must have an MC, a valid Class A license, be reliable, punctual and self-motivated, have a great attitude and strong work ethic, be capable and confident in their abilities, BE ABLE TO LISTEN AND TAKE AN ORDER. Ideally, this position will suit someone from the Midwest with local area knowledge, and some long-distance long-distance navigation skills. Knowledge of fatigue management practices would be an advantage. Class A Driver Job Details: Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Tractor-trailer truck driver drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination. Driver will normally be required to drive local-area routes and distances from the manufacturing facility to a local galvanizing facility, and then to deliver loads at designated locations. The driver may be tasked to drive long distances to meet the company’s needs. Loads transported will normally consist of manufactured steel products and structures, but may also be tasked to convey other sorts of materials—packaged, pallet, or loose. 1. Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways, and good mountain driving. Not looking for a hero just a seasoned, quaility driver. 2. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition. Washes and maintains trucks interior and exterior appearance. 3. Maintains driver log according to established laws, regulations, and company policies. May assist workers in loading and unloading truck. 4. May transport raw or manufactured materials from manufacturers or rail terminals to receiving customer’s facility or job site which may require driving over improved (paved) or unimproved (unpaved) roads, yards or lots. 5. May drive tractor with a variety of loads and/or trailers combinations, such as Reefer Trailer to Dry Van. Most of the time Local Drop and Hook. 6. May drive tractor-trailer combination to deliver poles or I-beams for utility and construction companies as needed. 7. Other duties as assigned. Interested and qualified candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background screening, and have a clean MVR and a valid Colorado CDL.
