CLASS OF 76 REUNION CHAT TAKE II: 1. So far a Clambake seems to have garnered lots of positive response. 2. We would need a minimum 100 paying attendees to secure a facility and not just 100 people saying now its a good idea and when the time comes not showing. 3. If we partnered with the Class of 75 it would be much easier to reserve a place now and share the costs associated with the event. 4. If both classes compromised on a date (say January 2016 - six months after their 40th and six months before ours) we could do a beach theme bake to break up the winter doldrums. ****this all hinges on Spinning Wheel doing bakes in January as Hinderwadels closes for the winter.**** 5. If you want an August reunion we either A. Go solo BUT we would need at LEAST 100 GUARANTEED attendees from our class and still do August 2016. The reunion committee will not be securing a facility with their own funds. Payments will be due in advance with a cutoff date to request refunds. This guarantees those that say they are coming are coming(unless of course a health issue arises and prevents them from attending). B. Join with Class of 75 and do our 40th a year early in August 2015. As a lot of classmates would have to travel to attend we would like to come up with a concrete idea that the majority thinks is a winner and secure a date. Everything else will fall into place afterwards. There you have it. Please share this with any of our classmates (or those of class of 75) if you know any and let me know what you think. I am open to any other suggestions as well but the sooner we settle on a date etc the easier it will be to finalize our plans and then fine tune it and sit back and wait for the date to arrive where were all back together again.
