CLAUDE... Our first rescued farm animal in Colorado, this - TopicsExpress

CLAUDE... Our first rescued farm animal in Colorado, this little roo had been left in a box on a freezing cold winter night on the steps of a veterinary office. Claude is undoubtedly one of our most charismatic residents, if you have visited you have probably felt him pounce and attack your leg in an unsuspecting moment. But he is a good boy, just a little misunderstood. You see, when you are the tiniest little member of our farm family, but still have a healthy amount of self respect and attitude, sometimes you need to act to ensure your miniature brawn is fully awe-inspiring. He is territorial and willing to protect his fellow farm dwellers at any cost. He is especially fond of getting between our guests and newborn baby goats and revealing his might when a stranger gets closer than he would like. He is a loner at heart, after losing his original two hens to illness and then his rooster companion last winter. An old bachelor, a curmudgeon. But he enjoys his nighttime cheeck rubs when he perches in the barn at night. And he will always be valuable to us for his unique, if not always fully appreciated, outlook on farm life.
