CLOSURE NOTICE June 11, 2013 The Houma Navigation Canal Bridge crossing the Houma Navigation Canal on LA 661 in Houma, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 thru Friday June 21, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and from Friday June 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. until Monday June 24, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. These closure(s) to vehicular traffic are needed in order to allow LADOTD’s contractor to perform work on the bridge as part of a multi-million dollar rehabilitation project. Alternate routes available around the Houma Navigation Canal bridge closure(s) are as follows: LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 57 (Grand Caillou Road) to LA 3040 (Tunnel Blvd.) to U.S. 90 (Barrow St.) to LA 315. LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 24 (Twin Span Bridge) to U.S. 90 (Barrow St.) to LA 315. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
